Do you have a self-driven project that you just cannot find the time to work on?

Self-driven projects can be difficult to work on, especially when you're doing it without the support of school/teachers/managers, or if you're doing it on the side of your job or studies. It can be hard to find motivation, set realistic expectations and stick to your own timelines.

If you have a self-driven project you’d like to work on, sign up for a Guided Project and have Ruchika Nambiar be your personal sherpa to guide you through it. With regular virtual meetings, goals and deadlines, you’ll receive a robust structure and scaffolding within which to execute your project. It’s like having a personalized faculty mentor/guide to ferry you through your project from start to finish. Ruchika will guide you right from conceptualization to proposal-building to critique, goal-setting, final execution and documentation.

What does your Guided Project include?

• A concrete project plan and timeline: Ruchika will provide you with a framework and work with you to build your own project plan that is realistic and achievable within your given timeline, skills and resources.
• Regular virtual meetings: Regular check-in meetings with Ruchika based on your project timeline to assess progress, receive feedback and troubleshoot challenges.
• Email check-ins & resources: Ruchika will check in with you regularly over email to assess your progress as well as share useful resources, inspiration, tools or tutorials as relevant to project.
• Project Afterlife Strategy: What can you do with your project after it’s complete? How do you document it and tell its story? What are the best ways to get it out in the world? How might you profit from it or get further funding? How can it gain recognition? Ruchika will work with you to create a tailored strategy for you to make the most of your new project once it’s done.
• Project Feature on CFS Platform: Your project will be featured on our CFS Instagram and our Guided Project Alums Archive on our web platform.

How this works

Please note, Ruchika takes on a limited number of guided projects in a year.

• Once you sign up with our interest form, we’ll reach out and let you know if we can accommodate you in our current schedule.
• If so, you’ll have a free introductory meeting with Ruchika to discuss your project goals and timeline, plan your meeting schedule, and clarify any questions you have.
• If you’re onboard, you’ll then receive a formal written agreement that outlines your entire package, schedule and payment plan. You do not need to make any payments before you receive and assign this agreement.

The 3-Month Intensive (USD $550) Bimonthly check-in meetings (30 min) Payment in 2 instalments (beginning + middle)

Good for mid-range projects that require more labour and time to develop, like building an intricate diorama, self-publishing a small book, or launching a website.
